SALTO - Secure Access Control
When a standard metal key is lost, stolen or copied illegally, the building or premises is insecure until new locks have been installed.
With SALTO, once a card is identified as being lost or stolen it can be removed from the system immediately. Once removed, the card will not operate any locks. If the card is found it can be re-initialised to operate locks again. Security is not compromised. This has numerous advantages for all types of premise. Consider these situations, perhaps a keyholder has left the company and not returned the key, or a bunch of keys has gone missing from a school site manager's office. These situations are easily resolved with the SALTO system.
Unlike keys and less secure swipe systems Mifaire cards cannot be easily copied.
Combination code locks are also insecure as the combinations can be viewed and copied. The only way to maintain security is to change the code regularly.
